Crystal Hanley

Crystal Hanley is a second generation 20-year bus operator with Winnipeg Transit and currently serves as the Recording Secretary on the ATU 1505 Executive board, she was previously the Assistant Business Agent of Operations in 2020. 

She was elected the first ever female Chief Steward for ATU local 1505 in 2022. Crystal currently sits as a representative on the Manitoba Federation of Labour Women's Committee, as well as an Executive board member on the Winnipeg Labour Council. 

Crystal has been involved in negotiations for contracts at the highest level, she has also been a part of the Accident Adjudication Committee along with the Assault Review Committee. She is currently a steering board member on ATU Local 1505's Critical Incident Stress Management Peer Support program. Crystal also sits on the Inclusivity Equity and Diversity committee for ATU Canada. Crystal holds a certificate of Labour Studies from McMaster University that was completed in 2024.
